Investigation of reflection bands of 1D annular photonic crystal containing double negative index material and non-magnetized plasma

In this paper, optical reflectance properties of an annular photonic crystal (APC) composed alternate layers double negative (DNG) material and a non-magnetized plasma (NMP) layer, immersed in free space, have been theoretically investigated studied. The spectra the PC obtained by employing transfer matrix method (TMM) for cylindrical waves case TEpolarized wave only. It has found that spectral position width reflection bands APC are greatly influenced variation thickness DNG metamaterial NMP respectively. Interestingly, it is observed presence layer causes increase band gap (PBG) whereas reduces PBG. Further, effect azimuthal mode number ( m ) on shows > 0, splitting occurs at frequency corresponding to zero permeability value layer. Moreover, with one PBG red-shifted second blue-shifted. Finally, change starting radius parameter curved surface electron density also studied very interesting results observed.
